The Parksville Gem & Mineral Show weekend was good considering the bad weather that hit the island.Overall, visitors, customers, and other vendors benefited from receiving our dedicated attention. Many of our customers came to visit us in our booth to select their findings for their upcoming seasonal projects. We are always happy to see them and chat with them face-to-face about their experience with using our findings. We had a great and positive response and processed a number of custom made orders.The following are examples of custom made ring findings we have produced for customers:Exhibiting at the show at the same time as us was a very good customer of ours, GemPremium. GemPremium is a proud dealer of international gems. They have a stunning selection of gemstones and non-treated cultured pearls. They have purchased settings and findings from us to set several of their gems and pearls into pendants, rings or earrings. We took a longer break with exhibiting at shows during September because Nelson, my son, got married. There were lots of preparations to get ready for the big day on September 30th. We are now back into full swing again starting this weekend at the Surrey Rockhound Club Gem Show.Doors open at 10:00 am this morning until 5:00 pm and re-open and closes at the same time on Sunday.
